The Chick-fil-A restaurants in East Cobb are are more than just great food they are big community supporters and have a fun tradition of doing a daily poll. The Chick-fil-A at the corner of Sandy Plains Road and Shallowford Road is located right in between Lassiter High School and Pope High School, and it’s that time of year again in East Cobb for Friday night lights, school colors, loud bands, and a rivalry that gets everyone talking! This Friday, September 19th, 2025, Lassiter High School will face off against Pope High School in what promises to be a thrilling matchup. Join in the pre-game excitement in a fun way with Chick-fil-A’s daily poll in asking students, parents, faculty, and Chick-fil-A regulars — who’s gonna win this one, the Trojans or the Greyhounds?
The Backdrop: Lassiter vs. Pope
The Pope (Greyhounds) and Lassiter (Trojans) have been rivals for years. Pope has had an amazing winning streak against Lassiter since 2019! However, right now there is buzz in the community that Lassiter has been playing strong this season and the pieces are coming into place for the Trojans to break the Greyhound’s winning streak. The strong offense, fired up defense, and a deep bench have the student section at Lassiter hyped up and many are hoping this is the year Lassiter ends the drought against Pope. It’s clear is that Pope has had the upper hand in recent years and you know they will be coming out strong to maintain their winning record.
